Message Detail:
Jimmy, even though I had no plans to dabble in Doo Wop, some of it is just too good to pass up, especially the stereo recordings. It just adds zest to fine recordings when listened to via headphones. Groups, such as The Duprees, The Flamingos, The Earls, The Skyliners, are some of my favorites! I know of another DJ who sort of has the same format/idea as you, playing the non charting tunes. It would be tough to think you could capture a wide enough audience to appreciate these songs. Me, after about the Top 40, I begin to lose it. Personally, I enjoy finding the alternate takes and versions, that seldom, if ever, receive airplay. Yeah, 30,000 songs is a lot! Promo copies of vinyl was favored, as I felt the best sound quality ended there, due to limited pressings.

Take care!
