Jim replied.... Do you mean that he is saying that DJs should offer unique information? Early on, probably no; the music alone was exciting enough to keep one interested. However, as the music aged, it was beneficial to offer unique information about it or offer it in a unique way, such as first time stereo. I always liked those short interview excerpts where the artist would mention something unique about the song, then it would start playing. I recently was involved in a heavy argument, who was the initial singer (vocals removed) before Frankie Ford sang Sea Cruise. In a popular New Orleans book of music, one name is mention, yet, later, Frankie claims a different person's name! Who can one believe??!! :-) So much information to be had, thanks to the Internet. However, what is correct or incorrect, you are to judge! Where is Bob!!?? Best,
