Never saw Buddy Rich unfortunately. I envy you. Also liked Joe Morelli with the Dave Brubeck Quartet, and of course Earl Palmer. Payola always existed - but that is the way life is. Northern Soul did OK in the UK, but not spectacular. It was a sort of cult thing - but not really that big chart-wise. |
