Always wondered why Soul became popular in the UK. It was something Jimmy Jones wrote (CD booklet) that gave me a clue. Him and others, like Lloyd Price - it's not like they were welcome here, in general. Some states worse than others. In the UK they were welcome with open arms, per se'!

Luckily, Soul was popular enough in the UK to cause record companies to reissue the material abroad!

Also saw Maynard Ferguson at some high school. Very entertaining! Very good - even his drummer.

Yeah, Brubeck, Palmer, Morelli - heard of them all!
