I think Farley J Dollar must have been a creation of the Marantz advertising department!

On the other hand, might he have been a close relative of Gary US Bonds, or Eddie Money, or even Johnny Dollar!

Seriously though - the only singer who charted on the Country Hot 100 with the name "Dollar" was Johnny Dollar - and he had about a half-dozen hits during the 60's.

But as for Farley - he seems to have been a figment of somebody's imagination.

Pity really. Great name - great pic!
