Jeff, just a follow-up. I generally don't get into differences between LP and 45 versions (too numerous), but this one sounds like something I should investigate. The same thing with "Lazy Day", by Spanky & Our Gang (1967). What is typically offered on CD, is not what received airplay. Like you, I noticed something was missing (the spoken part after "children saying hello"). Sadly, you have to purchase an entire "box set" to get to this one little gem (below). I wonder what version Bob plays? Anyway, I'm hot on the trail of "Quick Joey Small". TTYL! Best, |
