About a month after the song peaked on the US record charts, it was recorded in Germany on 02/12/1964, AKA Feb, 12, 1964.

But great point about local artists remaking the songs around the same time! Just read about a CD that's full of foreign singers/groups remaking the US hit songs in their native language. Some are actually pretty good, from what I read!
