Well Jim It was pretty well a standard amongst the early 60's UK groups in their stage acts including Rolling Stones,Pretty Things,Downliner Sect but the only UK recorded version I can remember is by Ringo Starr(& I wish I could forget it!!) Hey what do you think of the new UK No.1 Duffy - Mercy I think this is a decent attempt at Northern Soul & the video even features Northern Soul dancers behind her. Alan |
