Subject: RE: Inlaid Sewing Pattern For Flags
Good stuff- I've seen a flag on display at Ft Clinch here in the Jacksonville FL area- don't know if it is period correct or not, but it is put together like you stated. I didn't see the back of it. Do you have a picture of the back of a flag. So my wife's question- what type of sewing was done on the seams/ edges of the flag and also on attaching the middle flag to hide the raw edges in the back. Also how were the ties attached , on the back side or was there another edge put on the tie side to hold it in. |
On a 6' flag I would assume there should be 7 ties, like wise on a 4' flag there should be 5 ties. Hope that's right.
Regulation kit vr service kit. I really don't know but I think a couple things- maybe 3 poles only and maybe no 6' flag in the service kit. But I would appreciate a real answer. Are these answers available in writing somewhere or is it by experience. I feel funny continuing to bug you.
Also I've read abouit SCARD putting together a SCARD certification program- is that finalized? Is there a School of Instruction that one can go to in the southeast?
And one other, I've noticed as I've read thru the forum posts that links are made to SCARD attachments. Can I find a list of all those attachments someway?
