I'd be interested in seeing that specimen signal corps form that you say was being employed at Gettysburg if you could possibly provide it.

Could it be that the one being passed around was actually the USSC countersign/parole signal corps form devised by Major A.J. Myer to be used with the Coston Telegraphic Night Signals Plan somewhat earlier in the War?
