Sure can cite my sources Tom, but can you be a little more specific about which info you'd like sources for please.|
A keen read of pages 358-59 of Brown's signal history reveals that the telegraph line that was rolled up was along the yet-to-be completed rail road right-of-way between Guilford and Fairfax Station and that Lieut. Daniels 'signalled' from Poolesville (although there was already existing a permanent telegraph wire between Poolesville and Washington City.
