Sorry you feel so down Pete. The original post was created to let others know about the word 'telegram' being newly coined sometime around 1857 or 58.

Unlike modern researchers who choose to use terms such as wig-wag, signal teams, guys, transposition cipher and such in their talks, re-enactors ought not use these terms when acting out in a 'first-person' setting.

It is for the benefit to re-enactors that I posted such wording. Go have yourself a soothing segar and mellow out a bit. Vexation was not my intention. Sorry your day didn't go so well.
