Subject: Signal & Telegraph Recruit'g Outlet
As the following publication is national in scope, I thought the re-enacting communication section may want to know of the following announcement:|
The January issue of Civil War News will include the annual section with free coming-event listings, paid event display ads and a [paid] recruiting directory for military, heritage and history groups. Should you be contemplating raising a signal party for the 2008 season, or should your signal detachment or telegraph construction crew wish to pass the word of your activities, you ought to know that the recruiting directory deadline is December 7th.
CWN says that if your group would like to be included please give group name, membership area, brief description of the group, contact person and address, e-mail, phone and Web site as preferred. (t'would be nice to include a mention of S.C.A.R.D. affiliation too - if room permits)
Cost of a 3-1/4 inch wide by 2-1/2 inch deep recruiting ad is $20 prepaid. Credit cards are welcome. Checks may be sent to 234 Monarch Hill Rd., Tunbridge VT 05077.
They go on to ask that you consider an event display ad in this special section at their special event rates. The free word listings will go on the calendar at www.civilwarnews.com following the January issue, mailed after Christmas. (Calendar listings are invited all year, to be published in the monthly issues and put on the Web calendar.)
Calendar and recruiting information may be e-mailed to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org, faxed to (802) 889-5627 or mailed to the above address. If you have any questions please call Kay or Beth at (800) 777-1862.
