Subject: Sigl Construct'n Codes for Rutherford County Courthouse Perch

Message Detail:
We can only hope that the flagman was at least tied about the waist having the other end secured to the bell lanyard so that the telescoping party chief (peering through the little hole above the flag operator's perch) could know when there might have been a slip up.

As to content of the article, I thought I'd let everyone know that this may be the first time that many of us have actually seen an extent photograph of this particular signal station.

Concerning particulars mentioned within the piece, I've already conversed with Editor West about the Beardslee machines having the ability to generate their own electrical operating power. Like all who are supplied with this revelation, he may have been a bit more than impressed. Another story perhaps?

What I didn't ask him was if there is a descriptive plaque at or near the courthouse that we can record.

Walt
