Dave Gaddy wrote an excellet article ( believe in 2002 on this very subject) and hopefully he will respond to you. What I know about the telescope is that some of them were manufactured in Paris by a company called "Bardou & Fils"(Bardou & Sons). I believe they were four draw telescopes of 30 powers and about 26 inches in length. In Scheips dissertation I believe I recall reading that these instruments may have been sold in the United States by Jas. Queen ( a Philadelphia Merchant). Myer's original telescope is in the Signal Corps Museum at Camp Gordon ( I mean Ft. Gordon, GA) and I forgot how to get there but I think you can view it on the Inet. Again, my view is Dave Gaddy is the expert here on such matters.
