The Baltimore Museum of Industry celebrates past, present and future innovations of Maryland industry and its people through dynamic educational experiences.

Do you love people? Are you interested in volunteering with a fun and friendly organization?

Become a Museum Ambassador at the Baltimore Museum of Industry (BMI)!

PURPOSE:
Museum Ambassadors are the face of the BMI. You will be the first contact with each visitor. Provide answers to questions, chat with guests about Baltimore, and assist with the registration of school groups.

IDEAL CANDIDATES:
We are looking for friendly, reliable, and outgoing people able to anticipate visitor needs. Volunteers are needed between 10:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. during the week.

Museum Teachers/Docents

Purpose: The Baltimore Museum of Industry is currently seeking weekday and weekend museum teachers to host visitors, lead tours & educational programs, work with scout programs, and facilitate hands-on activities with a variety of visitors.

Ideal Candidates: We are looking for people who have experience working in a customer service or educational environment. Good presentation and communication skills are also highly desirable. Potential teachers must be able to commit to a minimum of one shift each week (Monday-Saturday).

Benefits: Volunteers are exposed to a variety of aspects of local history and education and will acquire professional skills and experience. Additionally, BMI volunteers receive: FREE museum membership, FREE parking, flexible schedules, a chance to meet interesting people, the opportunity to network with non-profit professionals, and a place to have lots of fun. Students can also earn course credit.
End date: September 29, 2010
