Ahoy Arcadia,

Has anyone ever thought about publishing a work that strove to list all of the songs written about the Chesapeake Bay Steamers?

For instance, I've found the following recordings of the same tune while on the Internet, viz:

"Sailing Down Chesapeake Bay", - American Quartet, 1913
“Sailing Down Chesapeake Bay” Clancy Hayes and his Washboard Five, 1949
“Light Rag / Sailing Down The Chesapeake Bay” Pete Dailyís Chicagoans: Green - Capitol 57-728 (78 RPM) n.d.
“Sailing Down The Chesapeake Bay” The St. Louis Ragtimers (LD) St. Louis 1963-64
“Sailing Down Chesapeake Bay” - medley Pietro Deiro
Sailing Down Chesapeake Bay” - Lonnie Donegan Ian Menzies And The Clyde Valley, Decca, 1956

What about associated lists of steamboat songs... that would include such gems as "Steamboat Stomp"?

Happy New Year!
Walt
