I've inquired on your behalf about the VHF radio repeater and was told that you should want to contact the Anne Arundel County Radio Club as they have a maritime section of their group and either might be able to answer your questions or direct you to those who can.

I've had a question for sometime now and figure this might be a good time to ask it.

Do you suppose there would be some interest in setting up some tailgate events at good vantage points, for instance say at Fort Armistead, where folks could discuss maritime matters while tracking vessels using ship spotter and listening to the movements over the air waves?

Who knows, someone might decide to bring a grill and a beach umbrella too. Can you catch a whiff of charcoal yet?
