John Ferdinand Rossiter was born in Prince Edward Island in 1831. He lived as a boy in Green Bay ,Wisconsin. I believe himto have been a third generation shipbuilder. In 1856 he married a Mary A Smith. He had a shipyard at 511 East Montgomery Street from 1863-1893. His office in the 1890 business directory was 10 South Broadway,Fells Point
