Subject: Steeple Compound Engines - Mfg of

Message Detail:
Was wondering if anyone knew who may have been producing copper boilers with steeple compound engines manufactured in Baltimore just after the War of 1861.

Would work such as this have been strictly in the Canton area of town or were there other such plants, e.g. Winans' Cove or Ross Winans' locomotive works on Russell near West Pratt Street?

Tks,
Walt
