Message Detail:
Johnny and John,

Have researched the Cashbox Chart weeks of " I Go Crazy " by Paul Davis and the total of weeks is 36 weeks. One of the longest charting singles in history.

Some information on Paul Davis:

Paul was born in Meridian, Mississippi and his first Top 40 hit was " Ride 'Em Cowboy " in 1974 - 1975. In the spring of 1978, Paul hit the Top 10 for the first time with " I Go Crazy " from the album, " Singer of Songs - Teller of Tales ". The single would be on the Billboard Top 100 for 40 weeks and Cashbox Top Singles Chart for 36 weeks. Another single from that album, " Sweet Life " peaked in the Top 20 in fall of 1978. In 1980, " Do Right " was another Top 30 hit. Paul who was with the Bang label signed with Arista Records. In the fall of that 1981, Paul hit the Top 20 with " Cool Night " and in the spring of 1982, Paul charted with his followup which would be his biggest hit and second Top 10, " '65 Love Affair ".

Have a great day!

Take Care!

God Bless!

Paul Carter Jr.
