Thanks, Jimmy! Maybe it was just me, but FM was, from what I remember, like you mention, for the more mature; the classic rock, the progressive sound type listeners, who were fed up with Pop and Bubblegum sound. These type of stations seemed to dominate the FM band. Two "oldies" stations, around late '80's, surfaced in Philly, first WOGL and then another at 102.5? (forget the call letters). Eventually, the 102.5 one went with progressive sound. Yeah, recently noticed a lot of silence on the AM band, mainly talk, if anything. Figured AM Stereo had dried up. WOGL FM has now gone HD (High Definition). Even though I don't have a HD receiver, I have to admit it sounds pretty darn good.
