WIP played some Big Band, plus the "softer" sounds of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. WPEN was the sounds from 1929 through 1979. Now, they're both sports talk stations.

Wee Willy Webber was on both WIP and WPEN. And yes, you heard him on WVLT. Unfortunately, I can't get it here in South Philly, and they don't have an Internet stream.

Jim Nettleton was on WFIL, and I believe he went to New York for a time. He was on WOGL-FM, then WPEN. You can now listen to Jim, along with Charlie Bennett, Christie Springfield, and Kim Martin at "Oldies Philly Style," an Internet radio station. Here's the link:
