Great idea Jimmy. I'm hoping that the Ultimate Oldies Family will post a few of their High School memories and perhaps add that special song that stands from that time in their lives. I'll get it started. I graduated from Southwestern High School in Baltimore, Maryland in 1974. I was only 16 (graduated in the 11th grade) but those years were very interesting and at times quite wild. We had one guy who at the end of a field trip, waited until everybody got off the bus (including the driver, who left the motor running) and decided to drive the bus down the street as a prank. He went about 4 blocks and abandoned it at an intersection with the keys still in the ignition. Several songs stand out to me from my senior year. They are 'Show & Tell' by Al Wilson, 'Love's Theme' by the Love Unlimited Orchestra, and 'Until You Come Back To Me' by Aretha Franklin. Let's all post for Jimmy and give some material for his show. You can email him directly at magic_oldies@bellsouth.net. Thanks, Bob |
