Jim, I have SO MANY questions about music, but so few left who can give me accurate and truthful answers. Your estimation on the percentage of those who enjoy stereo, I think 20%, is pretty accurate. I find it's about the same for those who demand the highest sound quality. I enjoy stereo because it presents better sound quality (less "masking" of sounds, so are estimates are inline. But, hearing things like The Beatles multi-tracks and then trying to untwist the (typical) lopsided stereo vocals, I discover it's because someone mutilated Ringo's drumming. The best was to hide it is to conceal it. For what primary reason, not sure, but it makes me question people, such as George Martin. Really! :) Take care my friend. Best, |
