A most beautiful tune, which actually started out as an instrumental tribute by McCartney to guitarist Chet Atkins.

Although listed as by the Beatles, Paul McCartney wrote the song, sang the song, did all the background vocals, and played all the instruments including the drums.

The only thing he did not do was write all of the French lyrics. Some of those lyrics were penned by Ivan Vaughan, (the teacher who introduced Lennon to McCartney and who died in 1995), and Ian's wife Jan.
