Radio, as long as it can still transmit on backup power, comes into its own during power outages and can really build brand loyalty when emergencies like this happen.

Re gasoline - that is a pity, but I suppose it is human nature really.

We in Europe are much more controlled by government, so that you would need several months negotiation to arrange a substantial price increase, but I guess that type of from-the-cradle-to-the-grave government has its downside also.
