Oh, my, I, too, was thinking that! You'd think one of them would holler, "Sing the song right, darn-it!!". I guess you had to tolerate a lot!

Ha! Good one! After the "final" take, everything went well, they realize the recording was botched, due to technical difficulties, and found the tape still blank!

But, still, to get great sound quality, and Capitol knew it, a live performance is the best! I boosted the volume, and it's STILL a quiet recording!
Capitol had their share of gadgets to enhance sound, after the recording. However, when they went to remaster for CD, the notes they (initially) had to manipulate sound (for vinyl) were useless, since the equipment was tossed or replaced!
