Subject: Ringo Starr - Oh My My - 1974 - Take 7

Message Detail:
As I mentioned before, I question how each Beatle had successful solo careers. Like having a popular name as a producer, a popular artist name caught the attention of DJs, besides having financial backing to help promote the songs, and who knows about Payola. I gather someone asked Ringo to sing, everything else would be taken care of as far as musicians, backing singers and arrangements. You don't hear Ringo doing countdowns. Those songs where he is heard wasn't hits. Like Paul McCartney hits that started out primitive sounding, just Paul and Linda (and a click track, I believe Bob R. called it, to keep time), other musicians contributed to build the song, just rewind the tape and add more and more to those many tape tracks. Also, since I don't recall hearing Ringo ever doing a two stroke drum roll, I question who is playing drums. Anyway, Take #7 (overdubbing), of a pretty nice song. My sister liked this song when I played it, it helped her with a crossword puzzle!...
