I still enjoy radio, and this has nothing to do with Bob, our host. But, radio is pretty much boring. It's like TV, these days, with staged reality shows, it's like watching your neighbors perform. So fake. Anyway, while out of work, I happened to find an educational show about Mathematics and Reading/Writing. It was not high-level, but the basics, 101. I found it interesting, even though it was on a 4:00 in the morning! I'd rather have educational shows on TV and radio, I'd like to think I know it all, but I don't. Even a refresher never hurts. On TV, I mainly watch shows about the universe, and even how things are made. However, I guess, most people wish to be entertained by radio and TV. HOWEVER, for children to participate, on FM station, WXPN-FM, 88.5 MHz, Philadelphia, offers a Kid's Corner show (I guess geared towards learning - only listened once). I thought that was pretty darn clever! Besides, it helps gain the station support of parents. Now, we just need is an Adult's Corner! Best, |
