As usual, 100% correct.

He fought a very bitter court battle against his manager Gordon Mills (father incidentally of "Clair" - the subject of one of his big hits and the little girl who giggles at the end of the song), to get back the rights to his own material.

Not only did he get them back, but he got £ 7 million in damages!

So now he totally controls his own material.
