Lovely show Bob great to hear these rarely played tracks I haven't got them all but here are some of them :- 1 - I Like The Way - Tommy James & The Shondells 2 - Goodbye Cruel Love - Linda Griner(A northern soul treasure from a lost Motown artist,you could do a whole show on that subject) 3 - Barbara I Love You - New Colony Six 4 - Tomorrow - Strawberry Alarm Clock 5 - He's The One I love - Mary Wells ( why was this a hit?) 6 -Remember Me - Rita Pavone(a huge star in Italy when I went over there in the early 60's but she only had one UK hit also "Heart") 7 -Alligator Boogaloo - Lou Donaldson 8- We Love you - Rolling Stones 9 - It'll Never Be Over For Me - Jeanette "Baby" Washington 10 - Let Me Belong To You - Brian Hyland 11 - Don't know this song but i like it 12 - ? 13 - To Wait For Love - Jackie DeShannon 14 - She Chased Me - Bobby Goldsboro 15-17b ? 18 - She - Tommy James & The Shondells 19 - I'll Always Love You - Spinners(More Northern Soul from a group know in the UK as The Detroit Spinners as we already had a folk group with the same name) 20 - Say Wonderful Things To Me - Ronnie Carroll(An Irish singer who had several hits in the uk & was a regular on tv here in the late 50's early 60's) |
