Subject: Barbara Orbison - Dobie Gray

I don't do morbid, (at my age I cannot afford to), but two things sort of hit me today - namely Barbara Orbison died yesterday, strangely enough on the same day Roy died - and Dobie Gray also died.

I never met Dobie, but interviewed him by phone after "Drift Away" became a big hit. Bit I remembered him for "(I'm In With) The In Crowd" - a sort of cool theme for 1963-4.

I did meet Barbara, in Ireland, when she came over with Roy. She was one lovely person.

As of course was he.

And she did so much to keep his memory alive.
