Message Detail:
For me, I can remember back to around 1958. I remember going to a record store (remember those?) and paying maybe 25 cents for my first 45rpm, The Witch Doctor...LOL
We were the early Baby Boomers, with our transistor radios which we took everywhere. There were not as many stations on the air as today, and maybe one or two in any market that played that evil rock 'n roll. They were AM stations. The few FM stations that were around then played classical music, or then they called it longhair music. Little did they know that by the mid-'60's, longhair music would refer to most rock 'n rollers...LOL
I, like so many of my generation, can still recall where we were and what we were doing the first time we heard a new song, or maybe just any song. Some of those times, well, maybe we had better off forgetting them. Funny thing is, at 62 years old, I STILL can remember those times with those songs.
