In the past, Bob's shown some reluctancy to have any kind of 80's countdowns on this site, but a lot of these weren't bad tunes; not a bad countdown. Right now I'm still discovering a lot of the 80's tunes, because during that decade I was staying away from Top 40 radio for the most part, and was mostly listening to a lot of oldies and jazz stations back then -- because I felt that a lot of the 80's stuff was so much more different from songs from the 60's and 70's.

I really did like the live version of Billy Joels's "Say Goodbye to Hollywood," which was actually released a few years earlier on his "Turnstiles," album, although that studio version didn't have near the success that the '81 live version did.
