Subject: Rob Grill Dead At 67

Message Detail:
Rob was the bass player and lead singer on most of The Grassroots hits of the late '60's and '70's. Rob had suffered two different strokes after a bad fall several weeks ago. He died Monday from complications from the strokes.
Rob had suffered much the past decade plus from some sort of bone issues, and had had several joint replacements. He continued to tour until the past year or so, when a replacement was brought in. I saw him just over a year ago here locally. He looked bad that night, and it looked as if something were wrong. He would pause during singing, only to have his lead guitar player immediately take over. I found out that he had suffered a stroke the prior year to last year's concert and the effects did show that night.

RIP Rob.

Bill
