I LOVE this song!!! So catchy! So melodic!!! So much fun!!! I can't believe it only peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100. Should have done much better. MUCH much better! What the Hell were you people thinking back then, huh? Hey you can't blame ME, I was just 7. Just a few weeks ago Lane Quigley played it on his Rock-it Radio show called "The Memory Lane Show with Lane Quigley", in which he played forgotten Top 25s. He mentioned that The Raindrops were really just the married songwriting couple Ellie Greenwich & Jeff Barry, and with double-tracking & overdubbing they produced a few tunes as The Raindrops. Another good job there John! |
