I can listen to the Chords all day, all night, everyday, and never complain. I appreciate greatness that much!!! They sound like HEAVEN! Well guess what. Somebody just did a wonderful special feature on this awesome, yet most underated group. He's Matt The Cat from Rock-it Radio. I provided the link. Just scroll down till you see his MAY 13th show. You can listen from there, or better yet, you can right-click the speaker and download the show as an .mp3 file. I heard this show earlier today and it was awesome! Matt The Cat plays all their recordings, including an unreleased "Blue Moon" from 1960, which the Marcels took to #1 in 1961 (another great group). Matt goes through a lot of their history including why the group changed their name three times. If you love Rhythm & Blues Vocal Harmony, please check out this CHORDS special, I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed! Please oh please. These guys are great! |
