Subject: THE HALOS = Doo Wop excellence!!

I LOVE Doo-Wop music. There's just something magical about it.

In 1961, this terrific Doo-Wop group, The Halos, had a hit with "The Nag" which peaked at #25 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Love their sound. And they come from my hometown--The BRONX!!!
But also in 1961, they did back-up vocals on 2 terrific Top-Ten hits:

Curtis Lee's "Pretty Little Angel Eyes" which peaked at #7. Great job!!

And on Barry Mann's "Who Put The Bomp" which also peaked at #7. Another awesome job!

They also did a wonderful job on Gene Pitney's hit, "Every Breath I Take", also from '61, which just barely missed the Top 40. (Should have been #1 if you ask me.)

The Halos should have been far more successful than they were! They were AWESOME!!!!!
