The reason I went with Little River Band is that they had a Number 1 hit in 1977 in Australia with a song that later made the US charts in 1980.

What's more, it was recorded in Sydney!

So that ticked all the boxes.

Air Supply did not have a Number 1 single in Australia.

I found that strange as the band originated there, and their albums did brilliantly back home...but singles, for some reason or other, not quite as good.

Not too sure why - there has to have been a reason.
