Message Detail:
Awesome song!! In my personal TOP 5 (excluding Rolling Stones & Beatles). An all-time CLASSIC!!!
After the songwriting team of Holland–Dozier–Holland left Motown Records because of a contract dispute, they started their own record label, Invictus/Hot Wax, and the Flaming Ember were the first act they signed.
This blue-eyed soul group purposely didn't have their picture on the album cover so that soul radio stations would think they were a Black group, and so played their records.
"Westbound #9" is a great song to run/workout to.
