Subject: February, 1970 Survey

Message Detail:
Interesting note on this survey, were Bob mentions Johnny & June Carter Cash's version of If I Were A Carpenter as a remake of The Four Tops version. Well, The Four Tops version was also a remake of Bobby Darin's version, which was a big comeback record for him in 1966. The Tops version was one year later in 1967, then the Cash duo's version in 1970. Funny that this song hit it big three times in just four years, an oddity I would think.
