Drummer, Hal Blaine, gets scolded for not paying attention!

Old musician's joke.

Hal is the drummer, and when the MD says "E flat" - he adds "and that goes for you too Hal - E flat, remember!"

Drummers are always the butt of jokes suggesting that they have no musical training. My favourite "joke" was to turn to the drummer half-way through a song, and shout in a very loud voice - "Change key now".

Everybody but the drummer thought it hilarious.

Of course, the drummer would usually get his revenge by starting the next tune way too fast so that the guitarist could not manage the solo!

Really childish I know, but when you have played "Roll Over Beethoven" fifty times in sixty days, anything - no matter how silly- helps break the monotony.
