Paul was always dissatisfied with ABC-Paramount Records, but paid $250,000 for the recordings he made there. He felt he deserved more respect and headed over to RCA Records where they gave him more freedom to produce, as part of his contract. Possibly, in spite, he remade some of his more popular ABC-Paramount hits at RCA. In 2001 Paul published a (4) CD set, on his PANKA Records label, with more remakes, at least on one disc. However, all the "original" material appears in monophonic. While the CD set mentions fan e-mails to Paul, that later stopped. Paul has absolutely no time for fans, unless you pay to see him perform. Aren't music artists nice?
