Don't really think it had anything to do with stereo or sound quality. Don't believe stereo made any artist more popular. However many did re-record their hits early on because of sound quality, stereo was just too new. I found that CD and another at a food store. I gauge (remaining) popularity of artists from what I can find of them sitting in the CD budget racks and how long they sit there. Both Anka and Sedaka are in low demand. Best, |
