From his ABC-Paramount Records days. Feel free to correct, but these songs don't receive much airplay, because they aren't that easy to find, espcially, in Stereo. Don't think he remade this song when he moved to RCA Records. Once thought Paul owned the ABC-Paramount recordings, so I bought a (3) CD set, since it seemed he published it (Panka(?) Records), but was disspointed. Still not sure what the problem is with these ABC recordings, and why they aren't published more often? Might make one believe RCA bought them up to ensure his RCA remakes only get played/bought. Don't think the recordings are lost, but licensing might be a pain or costly! From the musical, The King And I. Paul holds up well in front of a Big Band! From my most expensive (to date) CD purchased set. Used, at that!... Best, |
