In your other post, you mention Nashville Cats, by The Lovin' Spoonful. Nice song! So true, those songs are void of airplay!
Like the Spoonful, even their out-takes are good.

Now, John Denver. Found some acoustical versions of some of his hits, and even though it says "Previously Unreleased", someone just mixed out everything else. Not very exciting, but still have to closely listen to it.

But, you might remember the group, Queen. There, I found (2) CDs of their (original) songs in karoke form! Handy to use for some radio show announcements

So, as you can see, record companies are hard up to offer interesting material, so they create it after the fact!!
