Anyway, don't tell anyone, but Jimmy Dee is around and fine!

Jim replied...

There's nobody to tell. Only you and I left now!

Jimmy Dee is one of my heroes. He ran a great label based I think in Florida, which released material by many of my favourite country singers, whose original contracts had expired.

Great ear.

Of course, Alan did drop by to mention Bobby Moore's great records (not to mention his World Cup run of 1966).

Who could forget those magnificent solo runs when he played for the Rhythm Aces FC, not to mention his wonderful saxaphone on the 1966 World Cup tune - "We Are The Champions"?

A worthy hero indeed - but nowadays, totally forgotten except by Alan and myself.

(Lay a bet that the above will end up being scattered over several sites in years to come, causing chaos and confusion for generations of R&B fans and Soccer fanatics alike).

And Bill dropped by also to wish Gary US Bonds a happy birthday.

I alays thought that "Quarter To Three" was one of the greatest examples of controlled mayhem ever put on record.

For a moment, with Alan and Bill making a re-appearance, I thought we were heading towards a crowd again, but sadly, it was not to be.

Ah well, back to the drawing board.

And this could be such a superb site.
