continued... I enjoy contacting local HD Radio station managers and telling them particular songs need a sound upgrade. After all, why brag about HD Radio's great sound quality, then play less than ideal sound quality material? Some are grateful, others are not. Even the big ones, like CBS, play mono when fine stereo is readily available. Lots of past Kasey Kasem shows are like this, featured on HD Radio. CDs with the Rolling Stones an Creedence Clearwater Revival are high on my hit list of poor sound. It gives me a clue the DJs at the station just don't care what they play or aren't music collectors. This thing I have for HQ sound, I feel, makes it difficult for me getting my foot in the door where similar material is played. Who would want to feature some nobody from NJ and have him possibly embarrass the other DJs with better sound? Actually, the last radio station I mentioned, the station manager is also a DJ. Heck, Jim, I even beg record companies for unreleased studio talk and other material, even offer money, would sign any agreement, but I guess they fear I'll make money with it, when all I want to do is put it on my web site, maybe play it over the air. It's actually sad since I know some of what hasn't been released and probably never will be released. Not sure why they don't auction it off, rather than just sit on it. Look at services like AMG, they avoid commenting on CD content sound quality. Even when one of their authors actually did, he was incorrect with his claim. CD reviews generally bore me, but I like when I find one person reviewing, yelling, in writing, if you want the best sound, buy this CD! No need to reply to any of this; just rambling ;-)
