Please set your encoder to any speed (kbps) but also do not set the hertz to 48000 as you currently have it. That causes all lower tones to disappear and the high tones are then in a range beyond human ability to hear.

The best setting you could use is 32 or 64 kbps and 24000 hertz. This produces a rich full sound quality.

Also you are recording using wma format. Try using true Wave format and then convert to mp3 for smaller files.
